Welcome Our New Board Officers

CaringMatters recently elected new Officers for the organization's Board of Directors, which sets policy, monitors finances, and oversees the strategic direction of the organization.

Audrey R. Rothstein, CAE, is our new Board Chair. She has been involved with CaringMatters since 2014 and is a devoted Camp Erin volunteer. Audrey lends her skills as a professional photographer to document the CaringMatters story, including her latest project, the 2019 Camp Erin video. A Certified Association Executive with more than 30 years of experience in communications and association management, Audrey has led strategic planning initiatives and communications programs at associations and nonprofits in the United States and India. CaringMatters will benefit greatly from her experience and strategic vision as the organization expands and begins its fourth decade of service.

Vivian G. Bass, elected to serve as Vice Chair, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her professional and volunteer work with national and international nonprofit organizations. A focus of her efforts has been the improvement of the quality of life and community inclusion for individuals with disabilities on a non-sectarian basis. Vivian's connections in not only Montgomery County, but also the greater Washington, D.C. area, will help CaringMatters engage the community on a deeper level with an enhanced focus on diversity and inclusion.

Erin Blanding, CPA, will be serving on the board as the Treasurer. Erin joined the Board in 2018 and has nearly a decade of public accounting experience. In her new role as Treasurer, Erin's experience in accounting, tax strategy, structure and general business practices, will help CaringMatters build upon its long-standing reputation of transparency, accountability, and responsible financial management.

We would also like to express our gratitude to our outgoing Board Chair, Nancy Richardson, outgoing Board Treasurer, Stephen Halpin, and our longtime Board member, most recently Parliamentarian/Historian, Gerald K. Gimmel, Esq., for their years of service and dedication as Board Officers.

You can learn more about the Board of Directors, Officers, and the Board of Trustees on our Board page.
