Caregiver Mentor Program
Being a caregiving for a loved one can be rewarding – but it can also feel overwhelming and stressful at times. You don’t have to go through it alone. Connect one-on-one with a compassionate caregiver who truly understands what you’re going through.
CaringMatters' new Caregiver Mentor Program matches experienced caregivers (mentors) with current caregivers (mentees) for one-on-one emotional and practical support. Each mentor and mentee will be carefully screened and matched through one-to-one interviews to assess the mentee’s needs and choose the most appropriate mentor based on experience and personality.
Matches will occur in 3-month cohorts (Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec) and the mentor and mentee will meet 6–8 sessions a 3-month period (weekly or biweekly, depending on mutual availability).
Mentors and mentees can meet in-person, virtually, or by phone. Through this free program, you’ll connect with someone who’s been there who can offer understanding, encouragement, and practical tips to help you feel more confident and less alone on your caregiving journey.
CaringMatters is looking for both caregivers interested in being matched with a mentor and former caregivers interested in serving as mentors
