New Video Highlights Volunteer Helping Hands Program

This summer, CaringMatters staff and volunteers had another opportunity to work with the Montgomery County Council’s talented film crew at County Cable Montgomery to tell the story of our Volunteer Helping Hands program.

The video highlights the positive impact and the special relationships between CaringMatters volunteers and their clients. The narrative also features Penny Gladhill, CaringMatters Director of Volunteer Helping Hands, discussing the impact of the program on both the community and the volunteers. The video features several volunteers who describe their volunteer experience as fulfilling and gratifying, changing not only the lives of their clients, but also their own.

We are currently seeking to recruit new volunteers for this important program as needs in the community are increasing. Volunteers receive comprehensive training and support both before and during their service. Registration is now open for our upcoming volunteer training, scheduled for November 19, 20, and 21.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like to make a referral, please contact Penny at pennyg@caringmatters.org. To learn more about the program click here.

Thank you Montgomery County Council and County Cable Montgomery!
