Michele Potter currently serves as Executive Director of Asbury Methodist Village, Asbury, Communities, Inc. Michele Potter provides leadership, oversight, and strategic planning for the Asbury Methodist Village Campus, comprised of 1400 residents and 800 associates on a beautiful 134-acres campus. As part of the not-for-profit Asbury organization, Asbury Methodist Village offers senior independent living options as well as assisted living, memory support, and quality skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapy. She led the community through the COVID-19 Pandemic, including screening, testing, vaccinations, creating closing and reopening protocols. One of her career highlights was the recent design, construction and opening of the Brain Health Center of Excellence, dedicated to improving the cognitive and physical wellbeing of residents. Prior to serving Asbury, Michele retired from the City of Gaithersburg as the Legislative Affairs Manager and the Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture. Previous to that, Michele was an Executive Director for a YMCA.
Michele graduated from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, Academy for Excellence in Local Governance Graduate Program, in 2019. She obtained her Master of Public Administration from Troy State University and her Bachelor of Science from Slippery Rock University. She graduated as a
Fellow from the 2022 LeadingAge National Academy in October.
