About The Event
Please join experts on suicide research and grief support for survivors to learn about the latest findings on suicide and how to support those grieving the loss of a loved one by suicide.
Participants will learn to:
- Recognize suicide as a national and global public health threat
- Describe how to recognize the risk factors and warning signs of suicide and how to support someone who is at risk for suicide
- Learn about the unique challenges faced by survivors of suicide loss and community resources that can provide support and promote healing.
Who Should Attend: Social workers, Psychologists, Counselors, and other Mental Health Professionals, and Community Members

Continuing Education Credit for social workers: 3 credit hours
Three Category 1 CEU credits are available for social workers licensed in Maryland. Other professionals can submit the Certificate of Attendance to the appropriate board for considerations for CEUs. Certificates of Attendance will be provided for all participants.
