Mandy joined CaringMatters in 2024 as the Children’s Bereavement Program Assistant. Her path to joining the staff started as a volunteer facilitator for Good Grief Club. After the death of her father, she went searching for ways to volunteer. She was inspired by the CaringMatters training and enjoyed her Good Grief Club experience so much she wanted to be more involved in the organization.

Prior to joining CaringMatters, Mandy worked in higher education at the American University Writing Center and helped run a mentorship program for underrepresented students in medicine at University of Vermont. She has a B.A. in English and Cultural Anthropology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and a M.A. in Intercultural and International Communication from the School of International Service at American University.
