Jeffrey Slavin is a former Montgomery County Community Foundation board member and a founding board member of the Nonprofit Village. He serves as vice president of the Sanford and Doris Slavin Foundation, a generous supporter of many non-profit organizations in Montgomery County. Mr. Slavin has been the Mayor of the Town of Somerset since his election in 2008 and serves as treasurer of the Maryland Mayors Association. He is the president of C.J. O'Shaughnessy Inc. REALTORS and co-chairs the Family Philanthropy Affinity Group at Washington Grantmakers. He was selected by the Foundation as Philanthropist of the Year in 2011. Mr. Slavin is a current member of the Montgomery College Foundation’s Board of Trustees and he is the President of the Board for Montgomery Community Media. 

Mr. Slavin is a graduate of Tufts University and the Georgetown Law Center. He has been on the CaringMatters Board of Trustees since 2015. He also served on the Rebrand Committee, helping the organization develop its new name and visual identity. He has also hosted the Annual Raise Your Glass Wine Tasting Fundraiser at his home for the past five years. In 2017, CaringMatters honored Mr. Slavin with the Loyalty Award, presented at the Silver Linings Gala.
