Jackie Ogg, MSW

Board of Trustees

Jackie Ogg, MSW, has 30 years of experience bringing stakeholders together for meaningful dialog, strategic planning and collaborative practice.  Past positions include Director of Parish Family and Community Outreach for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington and Deputy Director of the Montgomery County Community Foundation.  In these positions, Ms. Ogg facilitated the planning, design and launch of several faith-based and multi-sector initiatives in Montgomery County and the DC metro area.  For the past three years Ms. Ogg has been consulting with private, non-profit and public agencies, concentrating on palliative care and end of life needs.

Having lost her 20-year-old son, Brendan, after a 14 month battle with brain cancer, Ogg has a particular interest in how the adolescent and young adult population navigates serious and advance illness. Ms. Ogg holds an MSW from University of Maryland School of Social Work and a BA from the University of Michigan.  Jackie has been involved with Caring Matters since 2013 and joined the Board of Trustees in 2018. The Ogg family was honored to receive the 2015 Legacy Award in memory of Brendan.
