About The Event
Grief has a habit of rendering us mute. But when we put our sadness into words, we tap into the healing process and begin to make sense of our pain. Writing our grief can reveal the darkest corners of our loss, or simply put tears on paper.
In a workshop led by essayist Karen Paul, read works from authors who write about grief, write from prompts, and share your words with the group. This will be a safe, comfortable, and supportive writing and sharing environment.
Karen is an essayist and memoirist whose work has been published in Lilith, The Washington Post, Modern Loss, and other sites. She hosts grief writing workshops, is currently studying creative non-fiction writing at Vermont College of Fine Arts, and is writing a memoir on illness, loss and widowhood.
