Carol S. Cox
Social Work Intern

Carol S. Cox joined CaringMatters as a Social Work Intern in January 2024. She is currently studying with the University of Oklahoma as a Master of Social Work (MSW) student. Carol’s decision to pursue the field of Social Work is based on her personal journey and experience as a family caregiver for her husband. His death ignited a profound desire to work with and advocate for vulnerable populations and became the catalyst for her pursuit of MSW. Witnessing firsthand the challenges and needs of individuals facing vulnerabilities, particularly in the context of caring for a disabled veteran, fueled her motivation to make a positive impact as a social worker advocating for and supporting those in need.

“CaringMatters stands out as an organization that aligns seamlessly with my values and commitment to making a positive impact on the community. Their dedication to compassionate care and support resonates deeply with my own mission. I am honored to be part of a team that shares a genuine commitment to enhancing the well-being of the community,” said Carol.
