Carol Walsh brings more than 35 years of senior level management experience in the nonprofit sector.​​​ She joined organization's team in 2015 after retiring from her position as Executive Director for the Montgomery County Collaboration Council for Children, Youth and Families, Inc., where she facilitated collaborative program design and secured public and private funds for systems development/change and/or direct services. 

 

Using her extensive expertise with Montgomery County’s nonprofit community, Carol has made significant contributions to CaringMatters. She facilitated the organization’s strategic planning process, producing comprehensive plans to guide agency’s program and budgetary goals. She also led the development and implementation of CaringMatters program performance measurement system and uses this information to draft compelling proposals to fund current and new programs. As a result, the organization has received increased support from both current and new funders.

 

“My work at CaringMatters combines my love of data, strategic planning and grant writing with a great mission,” Carol said. “What grounds everyone here is so profound and it’s my honor to share the great stories of the important work that takes place here.”

Carol earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Child Development/Family from Central Michigan University and her Master of Policy Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
