Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center is known for its exceptional dedication and critical contributions to the health and well-being of Montgomery County residents. The hospital’s strong community partnerships have resulted in impactful initiatives that address the healthcare needs of our region. CaringMatters has relied on strong relationships with Shady Grove Medical Center’s discharge planning and spiritual care teams to help provide non-medical, social and emotional support to patients and their families. With a Healthcare Initiative Foundation grant, CaringMatters partners with the Wellness Team at the Shady Grove Aquilino Cancer Center to help patients access community resources. Adventist HealthCare generously matches the grant to fund the new CaringMatters program, The Whole You. Together, we have served more than 250 newly diagnosed cancer patients and their families since 2020 at both the Shady Grove Aquilino and White Oak Cancer Centers.
