Chief Financial Officer
Jamie joined the staff in 2001 as the Office Manager and became Director of Operations in 2006, Director of Finance in 2016 and Chief Financial Officer in 2021. She brings more than 30 years of experience in office administration and financial management to her position. She is responsible for CaringMatters’ financial records and monitors use of funds according to budgets and prepares financial reports for the CEO, the Fiscal Committee, Board and funders. She manages human resource functions related to payroll, employee benefits and policy. She works with the CEO to prepare organization and grant budgets, monitor grant execution and grant reporting. She oversees office operations, policy, the accreditation of the Standards for Excellence, information technology, and the client, volunteer and donor database. She participates in strategic planning and new program development.
Jamie holds a Certificate in Accounting and is working towards a degree in business. She is a member of SHRM and The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. She completed Montgomery College Nonprofit Leadership Boot Camp, class of 2015, attended FIRM (Financial Reporting and Management Institute) and MORE (metrics, outcome and responsible evaluation) both programs of Nonprofit Montgomery. Originally from Michigan, she has lived and worked in Montgomery County for over 30 years.
